2021.10.19 05:20 Reddituser8018 Would anyone wanna play a MP game with me sometime?
Hello I don't have friends who play imperator, so I am looking for people to play with. I would like to play a game with a couple people and eventually fight each other in said game, having the human component to wars makes it a lot of fun. I am not sure when we would play that depends on everyone's schedule.
Anyways if you are interested DM me on reddit and I'll send you my discord name.

2021.10.19 05:20 Jack-Hatter Personal ghost story
I know it's long, and there's a bit of exposition so feel free to cut out whatever. This is one of the scariest things I've ever experienced, though I've had a few "ghostly" encounters since. Enjoy!
I'm a 31 year old guy, pretty average by most definitions. This story takes place back in 2004, when I was 13. We had just moved from a big city to a small village in northern Alberta, Canada. My parents had a bunch of money left over from the move, and decided to take us on a bit of an adventure, so we all decided to go on a roadtrip through the US. You know the type. Disneyland, Universal Studios, all the usual tourist traps. The whole plan was to enter Montana, go to California for a couple weeks, then cut through Nevada to Tombstone, Arizona. All in all, a 4 month road-trip. Most of it was great, some of the fondest memories I have really. But I'll never forget when we stopped at a little ole' ghost town called Bannack, in Montana.
It was right at the start of the trip, this remote spattering of abandoned buildings from the 1800s. Pretty much stopped at a whim, to take in the history and see the sights. See, Bannack was a gold-town back in its heyday. A big gold rush, it wound up inflating massively to a population of around 3,000 in a relatively short amount of time. Lots of people hoping to get rich quick, and a fair share of those hoping to exploit them.
The tour map you could get at the entry to the place had an outline of the town's history, as well as a list of all the buildings and their functions. To our surprise, there was a second little booklet too. A list of the supposedly haunted places in the town. My brother and I were huge fans of "Creepy Canada" (A show about haunted locations in Canada of course) back in the day so we snagged one of those, asked our parents if we could explore by ourselves and went off on our merry way to find some spirits. According to the booklet, the most haunted place was the church, so we went there first, but there wasn't much to be found. Beautiful building, nothing that scary though. We combed through each and every one of the buildings on that list, each time finding nothing but warmly lit wooden shacks, saloons, houses and hotels. Needless to say, we were pretty disappointed. Not for long though.
We decided to just start randomly exploring, and eventually found ourselves in what used to be the Assay Office, and began poking around the place. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was an overwhelming metallic scent. We looked at each other, and my brother asked me if I could smell it. I said something to the effect of "Yeah, it's really gross" Smelled like your hands do after handling coins. It was everywhere in the place, from front to back. This thick, noxious odor. As we turned the corner in the back of the main room, I noticed this little ramshackle door peaking open. The lock was undone and just hanging there. So of course, my dumb-ass turns to my brother and I asked him if he wants to check it out. He says yes, so we start walking over to it.
As if the scent wasn't bad enough, each step we took toward the door, I could feel my guts start to knot up. The closer we got, the tighter the knot became. We reached the door and I slowly worked it open, the hinges struggling as I pulled it towards me. I finally get it open, and there's what can only be described as a chasm. Rotting wooden stairs leading down into a black abyss. There should have been plenty of light, both from upstairs and from the natural cracks present in old wooden buildings but there wasn't. The basement just seemed to swallow it. My brother was visibly freaked out now, and I felt like I'm about to puke in all honesty but as the older brother I decided to go a little further. He reluctantly followed me down, but we only got about seven steps.
Suddenly, this massive gust of ice-cold wind came up from the basement. Each of us felt what could only be described as multiple people's hands holding us in place by the center of our chests, and in the gust we both heard a hushed voice say "Please, stay back. Stay out." We scream, naturally and bolt the fuck back upstairs as quick as our adolescent legs can take us. My dad heard us screaming and right as we got to the top of the stairs, he turned the corner with a look of absolute panic, grabbing us by our arms and yanking us the rest of the way. He looked down behind us, a look of dread covering his face as he slammed the door shut. My brother and I talked to each other to confirm that it had actually just happened, then he grasped us by the shoulders saying "We need to get out of here now."
So, we left. We asked him what happened, turns out he heard the same damn voice when he had grabbed us. Now, my dad is not a spiritual guy by any means but he was mortified. We didn't tell our mom when we all met up later, we just left the building. A little while later, maybe 15-20 minutes she wants to check the Assay Office out. My dad was reluctant and went in with her first, to check things out while my brother and I hung out by the two giant pane windows in the front of the place. He comes back out and says it's ok to come in so we do. The smell is gone, nothing but dusty wood like every other building was. The creepy door in the back is shut and locked, which he swears to this day he didn't lock. It was like a completely different building.
I grabbed my mom's copy of the history booklet, and it turned out back in the day they had a huge cholera outbreak that killed a ton of people. So much that they didn't have anywhere to put them without rotting before they could be buried. Naturally they started storing the bodies in the coldest place in town... the Assay Office basement. To this day, I'm pretty damn confident that all those hands and the voice was those people, trying to prevent us from going down there and either catching cholera or worse, falling through a rotted stair and breaking something. If you EVER find a place so dark it consumes light, stay the hell out of it.

2021.10.19 05:20 3thanm00re I came out pt.2
Link to previous post for context:
Anyways, I swear this boy is perfect. He did get double booked for work on what was supposed to be our lunch date. But boy oh boy do I have plans. So he works about ten minutes from the campus I live on, I’m a freshman, so no car. He’s not going to college, and is working instead. Anyways there’s a super great Chinese takeout spot about a 10 minute walk from parking, then we can take our food back to the drill field. (Think massive 200 yard wide and 400 yard long field) We can picnic there, then if things are going well there’s a cheap movie theatre where we can go and hang out, it’s got a upper seating area too that’s almost never full. Then afterwards we can hang out some more or go back to his car. He hasn’t given me a day or time yet, but I’ve got my fingers crossed that I’ll break through his frustratingly cute stubborn facade soon.
Anyways wish me luck everyone this has been quite the adventure thus far!
